Term 4 – welcome back!
Great to see you all back for the final term of 2009. The end is in sight – BUT there are still 9 weeks to go and all of us (yes, even Mr Wilson and I) need to stay focused on learning. Remember, it is report writing time again so make sure you have submitted all those assignments – including the compulsory language assignment and the email task that Mr Wilson set you as part of the MAC course.
Speaking of MAC, it would be great if you could have a look at the post below which has been put together by Brienna, Tanae and Emily. Let us know what you think.
NETIQUETTE!!!
Recently in MAC we have been learning about ‘Netiquette’. Netiquette is the combining of the two words, internet and etiquette. Netiquette is a safe way to use and have fun in the technological world.
Key issues we have been learning about include: how to try and avoid things like getting yourself into serious problems (eg: cyberbullying) on the instant chatting sites, e.g MSN, twitter, windows live messenger, bebo, facebook and mysace along with many others. We have learnt to avoid those situations and if you happen to get in one to inform adults and the police.
So next time you find yourself using the internet remember the rules, decide what it is best to do and be the bigger person. Now we would like to know what your strategies are to prevent cyberbulling?
